Hi all,

Does anyone know at what psi the fuel-cut comes in on a MY02. Oh and what actually happens when it does!????

Cheers

The boost limit is based on atmospheric pressure for all the ECUs.
All these figures are for sea level - atmospheric pressure of 1 Bar.

For UK/US WRX the boost limit is 1.21 Bar or 17.6 PSI.
For the STI Type UK, it is 1.44 Bar or 20.9 PSI.
For the Jap STI 7, it is a whopping 1.56 Bar or 22.6 PSI.

You are allowed to exceed the limit for a period. If you stay over this limit for too long, you will probably get fuel cut - I've never had it though, since I change the boost limit when altering the boost profile, so it doesn't happen.

Thanks Stephen, Last question ......

I am getting a boost gauge fitted this week, what should my standard boost pressure be equal to based on normal conditions and no mods. The car is a UK WRX MY02.

Thanks again.

Think they run 14psi or thereabouts? I stand to be corrected though

Nick

P.S: Be interested to see the gauge fitted as might get one for mine if it looks ok!!!!

Expect just under 14PSI. But most gauges over-read, so you may 'see' more.
