Question

I only use Optimax, but can I add octane booster to give it more?

I reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for about an hour?

I don't go over 3000 rpm before the engine is warm?

I set the turbotimer to 30 seconds or a full minute?

Please clarify.

Yes.

I have a doc with a couple of different ways to do this, i'll email you it if you like.
I don't go over 3000 rpm before the engine is warm?
I don't, just to be safe.
I set the turbotimer to 30 seconds or a full minute?
I don't have a turbo timer, a couple of miles driving non boost does enough. You shouldn't hammer the turbo and then switch the engine off.
p.s. it's illegal to leave you car running on a public highway if you're not there, people have been done for this.

Probably talking tosh but...
I heard that Optimax doesn't mix well with octane booster. The stuff they put in Optimax is similar to octane booster and therefore doesn't raise the RON level as much as if you added it to 97RON super.

Do a search there are pages and pages writen about it on here.

Mark, now that is interesting, when I was over in france for some fun I was wary that I would not find 98 RON, so filled up with optimax in UK, plus added some NF Octane Booster. Ran fine until I got very, very low on fuel, when filled up ok, but next day, was having starting problems, when I then filled up again on optimax, straight away no probs, so guessing the OB had be flushed. so this is interesting.

To answer the q's

no, only run just optimax

I reset the ECU using information from the MRT site here

hmm, kinda ignore the 3000 until warm thing, but usually take it easy due to most places I'm going from cold being in 30 zones.

My TT has two settings, on is on 9:59:59 and other is set to 3:00:00, usually I just drive normally, ie; off boost for about 5 mins at end of journey, so not a problem, when I can't I leave it on 3mins, or if going to a meet, whack it to 9mins, then get out and lock car and have a chinwag whilst it cools.

there you have it.
