Question

Is all wheel drive equal to 4 wheel drive? If so, why do Subaru call it All Wheel Drive? www.subaru.co.uk is useless on this

Ok,
AWD is when a car is designed with the intention of the range being permanent 4wd, 4wd on the other hand doesnt have to be permenant if you know what i mean and it is either developed after the car has come out on a 2wd model or its got a transfer box (ie high/low ratios, switchable 2/4wd)
