Question

I would like to know if you turn of your baterie, if you reset your ECU or if Subaru dealers reset or reprograme your ECU if the settings of ECUTEK remain or you will lose all setups and settings and you will have to pay/reprograme or ECU again to return to ECUTEK again???

Thank you

The only way to erase it is to reprogram the ECU. Nobody except Ecutek can do this.

The reprogramming remains - it's the same as a Subaru in that respect, just different values in the maps. Imagine resetting your ecu and having to repay for a tek2, lol!

Mainly out of technical interest - would I be right in assuming that the ECU is partially EEPROM, with a bit of I/O control on it? That being the case you would need to hold one of the legs of the chip up at say 30volts to be able to re-write the map.

Sorry for getting so many abreviations in one sentence!

It uses Flash technology and it is held at 12V for 100 seconds approx.
