Just wondering if you guys have noticed any OIL consumption on the WRX STi and if so how often do you have to add oil to your engine ?

I use Silkolene s and so far even though I check it every three or four days, so far its only just dropped below the max. However I do know of others who have STi's that consume a litre or so per couple of thou'.
Gonna be a suck it and see exercise.

 

I have found the oil reading a bit erratic. I checked it outside my house, where the road has a slight camber, and it read only a few mm above the 'low' mark. This was with the engine stone cold. I went off to get some oil and checked it again on a level road, with the engine warm, although left it 1/2 an hour for the oil to run down, and it read near the upper expansion mark. I have checked it since and the reading was well up again. This was with about 4.5k miles on the clock. According to my invoice Subaru used castrol RS when they changed the oil at about 1300 miles.
