New age sti 1/4 mile time - 11.883 @124.27 mph
I participated in a little contest in the states for subaru drag times this weekend and got a real nice trap speed in the 1/4 mile - - is anyone comming close to that speed on a new age sti vii???
Not bad al, how much did you manage to strip the car in the end?
I was following on i-club.
I am figuring, rear and front passanger seats, spare wheel, maybe some carpets, jack, drain washer fluid etc.
Any idea of the weight?
Nice numbers.

30psi + N02, custom Garrett, etc'........11.88. Claimed 400bhp ATW's.
Andy F. Stock circa 6 year old engine, TD05, claimed 305bhp ATW's 11.87..........
Both are very quick, but I know which one I find more impressive !

yeeeees, I noticed the NOS, 50hp shot.
almost cheating
Al's is a lardy bug eyed beast though, complete with the extra weight of the 6sp tranny.
Anyway, what are you doing on here Mark? Where's your banner add??!?!?

The ET was a bit low for the HP due to the poor track conditions - high heat and back to back runs - - - BUT the speed in the 1/4 was very good for a stock block I believe
I should be in the low 11's - - but the 6 spd tranny very low gears seems to be a bit of a handicap - and I must shift into 5th - and extra shift - - yes the 6spd is strong and does shift well but its no drag box - - (and it does weight a lot more - and I have the big diff and rear shafts also)
I did take out the passenger seats and bumper beams - - but left the a/c and the radio
Plus I weigh 300 lbs
Anyway - does anyone know of any new age sti's comming close to this mark???

Good trap speed Al
You need to sharpen up those gear shifts though
I also have the 5th shift to do
It's a PITA !
Any idea of your times/speed before the NOS ? May consider NOS just to whip that one pesky JUN skylines ***
Not in this country mate, don't think they are into the 12's/110 yet !

No non NOS times yet on the current set up but in the past I made 12.5 at 110 mph with the PE 1820 turbo set up
I will be hitting the track at the Import Nationals in Englishtown NJ to try and set a non NOS 2.0 litre drag record
5 shifts is a pain in the _ _ _ - - but a busted tranny is even more of a pain - I broke 2 five speeds in the past
