I have been offered a used Mongoose s/s backbox for my MY99 wagon, but am unsure as to what noise level to expect. I have heard that some b/boxes can be a bit boomy on the 5 doors.

Has anyone any experience of a Mongoose on a 5 door?

i have a mongoose full decat system, sounds ace. deep throaty. is loud but not too loud.

on mine, the sections are 3" dia sleeve fit, so if the backbox you have been offered is the same type, it wont fit onto a standard centre section.

Had a mongoose b/box on a 4dr, good deep sound, great quality/construction and fitted straight onto the original system, no experience of 5dr though.
