Sorry, I know this should be in the wheels and tyres section, but I need a quick answer tonight if possible.
Whilst cleaning the car this morning I noticed a headed nail in the rear n/side tyre. I tried to pull it out with pliers and it seems stuck fast but now I have disturbed it the tyre has started to go flat. Is this repairable ? It is sited in the block part of the tread sideways on and is mid way across the tyre. If I need a new tyre I intend to get a lift to work tomorrow and order a new tyre ( I don't fancy driving on that space saver for long), I don't think OEM Bridgestones will be available from stock. Any advice from tyre geeks would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention, tyre is a Bridgestone RE011 215/45 17"

Free repair at Kwikfit - if in midtyre section.

I had exactly the same but right on the shoulder / edge = unrepairable.

Rang around for best price and then got Kwikfit to price match it.

The same Bridgestones took next day delivery.

 

I actually went to my nearest Kwik Fit this morning (only tyre dealer that was open). I left it with them, they said it would take one hour. When I went back they said the wheel was too big for their tyre removal machine so didn't attempt to take it off as they didn't want to damage the wheel Credit where credit is due, at least they didn't attempt it and damage rim.
