I've got a Dutch import with a 2nd and 3rd year warranty....I'll dig out the details and let you know.

(it was about £500) for these two years of cover.

Ta,

Matt

Question

Just got my MY00 back from the £15K service (Adams, Aylesbury), where I reported clutch judder on startup (pretty usual, so I gather). As my car's a UK spec Euro import I was told they wouldn't replace it as Subaru Holland wouldn't pay out for clutch judder (Holland's too flat for lots of hill starts etc and they don't entertain it apparently!!!!????). I got the impression if it was a UK car they may have done it. Also I was told Subaru wouldn't let me pay to extend my 1 year warranty, which expires next month. Has anyone else managed to get Subaru or their local dealer to do this? If not are there any other 3rd party warranties you'd recommend?

Thanks

Greg

Tell me about it! I think think they're shooting themselves in the foot by not taking a more flexible approach to imports a la Mitsubishi or even VW, who I gather will let you upgrade too..

Snap - same dealer, although my clutch is well and truly knackered (16K). The problem is that Holland have to authorise every warranty claim, and they tend to turn down clutch ones. Some people have paid to have it replaced, then sent the old clutch to Holland for examination. I think that has been successful once!

I'm resigned to getting a Helix clutch from ScoobySport (about £700 fitted). Brings the total amount saved by importing down a bit though.
