i currently have a MY00, but want more performance, braking, handling, styling... i can either sell it and fork out an extra 7 or £8k and buy a P1 OR spend the cash on my Turbo 2000 and get the performance gains etc. that way???

and, would that amount of mods on my MY00 out-perform a p1?

Buy an Import STi and spend on mods.

A few nice ones in the For Sale section now

you would still want to mod the P1, maybe not straight way, but sooner or later.

STI V type R import might be better (what the P1 is based on, but still has all the toys like diff control etc)

If I recall you all ready have a full decat and some other bits and bobs. With a further 7k thrown at it your car would totally murder a P1, you could get front mount, big turbo, ECUTEK/Link, and a whole host of other stuff including bigger brakes, better suspension, better styling (yours is sonic blue IIRC so your halfway there). But then a P1 is a proper P1 so I guess it's up to you. The £7k mods would not be realised in the resale value, have you considered that?

Saxo Boy, yep ive already spent about 3k so far on mods, although im not trying to be a P1 replica, apart from the P1 rims and splitter, and rear door removal. If i did spend quite a lot on it i wouldnt sell it anyway just keep it till i kill it.

think ill start pricing some further mods

As much as a P1 looks the dogs, 7k on mods would give you more smiles. Do it!
Did like the suggestion about the Type R however.

You'll be able to get some big power (safe big power) and sweet handling and styling mods for the kind of money your talking about
