What is the max speed (on the Speedo) you have had from your Subaru in third gear?

 

not quite sure but i think about 80-85 (mph)have got a razo quick shift though (60mph is just on the 2nd to 3rd change) need to change gear @ approx 56mph. how does it compare??

Gotta be more than that, mine will do about 95ish in third, and 125 in fourth, on my private road of course!!

 

my friend hit 145mph on the way to manchester via oldham... but no ones meant to know that

thing is you gotta slow down straight away cause it soon becomes a 40mph zone for some silly reason and theres a speed camera hidden on the left

 

Third is about 90 in my MY00 and fourth is about 140 on autobahn.

 

Is this a max power feature?

Yup, i've got a 5th gear, but if i quoted my best speed from that, then i wouldn't be answering the question.
In answer to the question, an indicated 97mph.

 

About 75 in 3rd @ 7,500rpm

 

95 in 3rd on a UK MY00

140 in 4th what model you got, i thought the uks maxed at about 130 in 4th

 

Yes - 128 is the true top end in 4th (133'ish on the speedo ?)

 

Some people - uh. I dont know lets talk down the pub figures on bbs that knows what the cars in question will do.

I can get just under 100 in 3rd, and just under 130 in 4th.
Uk spec Catalunya (1997), non modified.

 

MY94 legacy turbo:-
1st = 50mph
2nd = 75mph
3rd = 110mph
4th = 130mph
5th = 160mph+
quite heavily modded ,these speeds acheived on a track day of course.

 

At least 101 mph in 3rd.....STi 2
Thats what i hit on the quarter mile and i was still in third!!

Musafa, what i thought that with my94 bieng restricted to 115 mph, a quick shift with a lower gearing would reduce the optimum mph of each gear, therefore not getting as higher top speed @ higher revs, but doing it a bit quicker...eg 2nd gear at top revs is 56mph so have to change up to 3rd to reach that 60 mph! you did ask!

 

quickshift does not alter the gearing, it merely shortens the throw, hence the quicker gear change. IIRC.

3rd gear 95mph and i found the rev limiter

 

standard MY99 also 95mph @ 6000rpm, probably push a ton on the limiter.

 

STi3, get over 100 in 3rd.

 

MY99 uk turbo, de-cat centre exhaust system and induction kit. approx 85mph in 3rd at around 6000rpm.

 

Dunc20 only 85 with a decat? something wrong there, u sbe tonning it and some.

 

um i feckedup yes i get 85 to, i get 95 @ 7K rpm

 

My P1 hits about 104 in 3rd gear.

 

Though i'd ask as I have just had the Apexi Power FC fitted and my car now does approx 105mph as opposed to the 95 it used to hit.
This is because my rev limiter has been altered taking into account the Power FC MY98(uk)
