Tree Pooh...
I have a horticultural problem...
Unfortunatley my driveway sits under a very large Oak tree and during the summer months, this thing drops what can best be described as 'Tree Pooh' on my car.
Is this doing any damage to the paintwork?
Like my Wife, I do wax regularly but is this enough to stop any more serious damage? It appears to come off easy enough when washing.
Mak.
PS... Edited to say that the Tree has a preservation order on it so 'No', I cant cut it down!

Strictly speaking this stuff is insect sh!te. It is more severe with certain kinds of trees. I have had endless conversations with people about this, some claimed it had damaged their paintwork, but the general opinion was that it was just a pain in the @rse to clean it off all the time. There is really nothing that you can do to stop it, unfortunately.

copper nails do absolutely f all other than look ugly and provide a sharp surface for people to skin their knuckles on. Plus when you come to cut the tree down they blunt your chainsaw.
