Anyone tried Star Performances's (Glenrothes) rolling road?

It seems to be a pretty accurate device, being a new digital type, with no "fiddle factor" available.
They also have a new boost measurement module which sounds very useful. Would make some nice graphs when plotted against the torque curves etc.

Anyway, I got figures of 281bhp and 306 lb/ft.
Was hoping for a little more.
Anyone else comment on their figures?

Cheers
Russ

Cool

Were doing a RR shootout at Star in a few weeks time (12th Aug from memory)

So keep your eyes peeled for the results from that as we'll get lots of different cars to compare.

Thumbs up

Hello

I don't have a scooby but I've been to StarP twice. Very impressed with the set up and the guy seemed to know his stuff. I'll be going back after I get my car unichipped for a before/after comparison.

Colin.

Ta!
But I'll not reveal the model just yet.
Mods - 8.1 litre front mounted intercooler, 12 stage boost control microprocessor, uprated FPR, three fueling/ignition chips etc.
What others compare with this kind of power?
P1's? Or do they normally show more on the rollers?
Cheers

Everyone,
I know what he's go-oh-t!

Russ, a friend of mine from around your neck of the woods has been a couple of times, his figures have been pretty consistant and realistic. (Evo 6 driver.)
I wouldn't be too hung up on the figures you've got, they're pretty good. You're torque figure is pretty respectable, if the curve is reasonably flat. IMHO with your motor it's your torque you should be concentrating on. (hope I haven't given the game away a bit?)

Alan?????
I don't know you!
The plot thickens.......

How the H do you know my car?!?

An Evo VI same figures eh? Fine, I'll be happy with that.

Had a chat with Jim at Star today, don't think he held onto the revs quite long enough. He does though obviously!!
It is running on a pretty knackered turbo too, so I suppose I should be happy. New hybrid arriving early next week.

Don't think you gave the game away, but maybe I have.

Why do you think I need extra torque? It only weighs 1375kgs, no heavier than the new Impreza (well, ok, 10kgs more!)

Cheers
