Hello,

I went there on Sunday, No scoobies not even in the car park! A few EVOs on show.

Why no Scoobies, surley they are eligable?

After all they had a Mitsubishi FTO!

I know they also diddnt allow MR2 Mk1 which is nasty coz they are a fine car (especially the supercharged ones.)

Right, flame suit on ...........................

Let's be fair about this. A Scoob is NOT a Supercar. Sure, it's a very fine car that will give the odd "Supercar" a run for it's money, but it is not a Supercar.

Neither for that matter is an Evo, nor the FTO, of which there were far too many at Gaydon

Supercars by definition should be sleek, expensive, two seaters (or 3!) with hopefully some degree of racing heritage and peerage. Alas, a Scoob does not fit the bill.

Nor the Elise????

My mate was giving rides in his Sport 160, which is bloody quick (0-60 in under 5 Secs) but its not a "super car"

Nor were loads of the american rubbish (except vipers and corvetts) the PimpMobile for example aint that super.

I would like to see a few of those Lambos keep up with a scooby when its raining!

Angry

I offered to show my Scoob and do the charity rides, and the organisers said 'yes please'.

I then received a letter from them saying they did not feel the Subaru was quote "an appropriate vehicle for the day" - so they can sod off the stuck up gits.

I will not be going to Gaydon ever again.

Soddin idiots - especially as I rang and offered.

Much as I enjoyed the day, I agree that some of the cars on display, or being used for rides could no way be classed as "Super-cars", and their performance would be put in the shade by an Impreza.

Club stands for FTO's and even a Grinnall TR7V8 ? Nice, yes...Super, no.

I'm disgusted with their treatment of Richard and his sorted WRX.

Would a 22B have been shunned? In comparison to the RS200 and 6R4's that were there?

Snobbery and hipocracy at its worst...

So, that rules out the 911 and all Aston Martin V8s then?

Trouble is tho boys........
One could consider some of the attitude on this BBS as snobbery personified, not to mention the sheer arrogance of some contributors

LOL @ Steve!

Brendan - Of course it doesn't rule 911's and Astons out. I merely forgot to add 2+2's to the list. It might have got confusing with Scooby owners claiming they had 2+2's aswell!

The only reason I was a bit miffed was that I rang them and offered, they said "yes" on the phone, sent an invitation, and THEN declined.

I think it is the way in which it was done that has annoyed me.

It would be great to see the Scoobs against the genuine "Supercars" if it had been wet
