Firstly yes I know that this is in the wrong place, and i fully expect it to be moved!

However I had to respond to the guys at Carlisle, just to let them know that we can beat that deal!!
(Yes, we are a franchise dealer, and yes we DO have a banner ad placed)

But £2500 deposit, followed by payments of £199.99 per month

What others havn't said but we will, is that this is EXCLUSIVE of V.A.T. and based on 10,000 miles per annum.

Normal wear and tear (stone chipping etc) will not be penalised.

sorry to put this in this forum, but why should someone who wont put their money where their mouth is get the exposure!!

Rant over!

ooops, nearly forgot anyone interested please give me a call on 0115-9882955!

Don't see the problem with the quote.

2500+(36x199.99) = £9699.64.

This leaves a balloon payment of approx. £10-11K after 3years which is probably a reasonable estimate of the cars value anyway.

Carpet

No final payment

you are in effect renting the vehicle for 2 years!

It works out at just under £12 per day.(inc vat)
all you have to find is the insurance, cash for two services( 1,000 & 10,000 mile ones) and your fuel cash!

Two dealers fighting it out!!

Beechdale at £2500 DEPOSIT PLUS £199.99 + VAT A MONTH
(TOTAL £8342.23 INC VAT)
Stan Palmers at £1000 DEPOSIT PLUS £275 INC VAT A MONTH
(TOTAL £7325 INC VAT)

It will be pistols at dawn next!!!

I think the Carlisle boys have it this time.

Its not as easy or straightfoward as you make out Mark. e.g
o How many miles per year
o Early payment penalties
o Pence per mile excess
o Lead time
o APR
o Guaranteed future value
o The above one you forgot to add VAT(I.e £233 per month)

I suspect all dealers will be able to do a good deal at the moment. Why not call your local one and haggle like crazy. Remember the new MY03 is due soon, so dealers will be keen to get rid of MY02's

Question

Its the total payable that tells the true story.

checked it out both dealers are 10,000 mile a year
there is no APR on contract hire
there is no guaranteed future value as you just give it back

you are right in that all dealers will be keen to shift 02my as hopefully 03my will be a cracker, thats probably what these contract hire deals are all about.

please subaru make the 03my a good looking car again!
please!
please!
please!

not looking to buy until current car paid off 27 months to go
