James,
sorry to hear this, not the kind of news you need at 6:20 in the morning.

hope they recover the voyager, and hope the gits that hijacked it have all kinds of nasty things happen to them.

Takes the mick when you try and stop this thing happening, ie; install NavTak, then find all your hard work is undone by some slackers.

Hope it all sorts itself out.

As many of you know, I work for a courier company in London. We also do a Private Hire service for our clients using Mercs, Volvos, Chrysler Grand Voyagers etc etc. The reason I came about being involved in Navtrak & becoming one of their dealers, is that we had a car hi-jacked about 5 months ago - E220 Merc approx 4 weeks old. As a result, went away & sorted out the Navtrak thingy & as a benefit for the bbs & others, worked out the deal.

When last week I came to find out how many of our fleet were fitted, despite my pushing etc, it worked out to be 60%

Result was that when at 06.20 this morning, one of our Chrsyler GV's was knocked into, the driver having got out to inspect had a knife pulled on him, he then got a kicking & the muggers drove off in the car He is currently in A&E with damage to his back I was called & got onto Navtrak but - guess what - that vehicle hadn't yet been fitted

If our "Fleet Department" had been doing their job properly, then our driver's assailants might very well now be sitting in the cells and our company might not be out of pocket. Not surprisingly there's a bit of fur flying down here at the moment.

Lesson for us all maybe.

Not what you need happen to you also something in the paper today about a hijacking in brum, that was a merc, 2 lads with a gun got those thou!! still, like you say, have a sat tracking device fitted or even better, an anti hijack device then you can just do a runner to somewhere safe and call the police, it aint worth messing with these guys and if in doubt, drive to a police station if you get shunted, then get out.
Just give em hell James companies are slow to pick up on the good things that save them money as it costs them to start with!!

I'm not sure I understand what it is your complaining about.

Your Fleet Department have only managed a 60% rollout of NavTrack? How many vehicles are you talking about here?

Arrow

We've had the installers trained since Easter (12 weeks). They can easy do 2 passive installs a day - 10 a week in theory. Numbers I'm talking about is around 40. Problem is that it was meant to be a priority...
