Maybe the odd stall, but nothing major for me.

10Mbps Ethernet feed into our firewall

 

Chris, I'm on 10 Mbit/s, and it doesn't seem to be database related, but rather bandwidth related... it takes up to 30 seconds to load one gif (smilies, post notices etc), but the posts themselves are there relatively quick.

Needless to say I'm not seeing any problems with other sites.

Dodgy router somewhere ?

15 hops to the server for me, first 13 are all sub 20ms bar one at 125/204/203ms.

Problem is at the end...

I will have a chat with our service providers, as I have noticed a slight speed issue recently.

Probably worth saying that the server NEVER crashed, resulting in the outage earlier this week. It seemed to be down to a comms problem with the service providers.

Yup, seems that level3.net is back in the air. Shaun, this one had nothing to do with Scoobynet actually, but with main backbone problems it seems.

Only now noticed that the last tracert took me via New York
Now takes 4 hops less for me (probably takes the Chunnel )
