I'm holding out for a MY03 but everytime I look in a dealers window or a new WRX/STi passes me by I'm tempted to say order the thing now.... but don't want to be disappointed by any appearances changes in a couple of months (I could say improvements although I don't mind the bug-eye look much).

Any ideas/pics yet??? or Soon??? Please!!!

You will be waiting at least 6 months before they hit the dealers. I just bought a WRX MY02 and was 'lucky' not to get a MY01 that they are still knocking out to unsuspecting members of the public.

This whole bug eye thing just blows my mind. I think the bug eye looks awesome and is very modern looking. The potential new look above looks weak compared to the bug eye and the old shape looks very outdated.

Yes I do own a STi-7 JDM and I may be biased; however, originally I thought I was going to only be able to afford the older models and was dissappointed as I really wanted the new bug eye look. Thank goodness it all worked out

Cheers,
Ray

PS: Yes I know it is all about personal opinions

I second that. I hope that Subaru don't compromise the design by pandering to those luddites that like the old shape.

You better be careful - you run the risk of ending up with a half-way house design!

Get into the 2000s!!!

Wink

I like the change in colour (two tone) that appears just after the wing mirror!

You could photoshop it better than that!!

I'm buying a MY03 - it's the same as MY02 exactly - sorry to dissapoint you all! Proof can be found if you phone up virgincars.com - they are preordering a whole load of MY03 and the spec / exterior, etc. is the same as MY02. The MY04 is when I believe any modifications will be implemented.

and I'm sure that Virgin cars is the expert of all experts. They'll show that information until they know otherwise.

looks no better to me - a cross between a scorpio and a carlton. And that rear spoiler must have been designed in all of 10 seconds.
