Strange symptoms on my00

Hi all,
I have a my00 saloon with a full de-cat on it, for the last week or two, it's been sort of 'hunting' when thinking about coming on boost, only seems to do it whilst driving gently, not when giving it large, almost feels like a plug leads off,
What could it be?
Before I hear cries of 'hesitation' it's never ever done it, and I don't see why it should start now, I've had the car from new and it's done about 25k.
