Question

Does anyone know if you are able to buy the original Subaru headlights from a UK300?

Theoretically.....unless they do the P1 trick - see if your local friendly dealer has a parts list yet....

Mine is about 40 miles away with an attitude!

Thanks though! ;-)

You cant get them yet. Try end of August and you just might get them. Expect double the price of the Morettes and double the wait.

Another little birdy told me the Prodrive headlights willl be around the £600 mark, so get the Morettes for £400 and spray 'em!

The Morettes are now available from your local Subaru dealer (subaru part no. SACC2530) the price is £327.66 +vat/fitting/painting etc. By the time this is done it won't take them far off the price of the Prodrive lamps.

It's good that owners have the choice of two headlamp kits and they both carry a full subaru three year warranty.

Personally I prefer the Prodrive clusters of the two and I like the black gloss casings a lot. Now all I need is a silver wrx wagon to put them on

Mike Wood is running a silver GX wagon with UK300 lamps on. Ask him nicely and he'll mail you a photo!

I saw a headlamp conversion in a DemonTweaks ad, they look like the UK300 ones and cost £336.

They don't look as shiny though IMO!

Thanks Dave!

Kosy, the ones in demon tweeks are the morette ones unpainted, PeteC's car (featured in Autocar) has these same ones colour coded.

Jack, I think your wagon is stunning! How would these look added onto it to...

Thanks to Mike Wood at Prodrive for sending me the pics..enjoy!

Wow that looks class!!!

I would definatly go for the black ones as opposed to the colour coded ones.
They really go well with the wheels too.

Thanks for posting the pictures of Mike's car with the lamps fitted - they look the business (as do the wheels).

Does anyone have an idea when the lamps will be available?

Duncan

Duncan,

I think you'll find it's the same story as with the PPP. From what I've heard Subaru want the UK300's out the way first then it'll filter through, so probably around 8 weeks max hopefully.

That Wagon would look even better if it had the turbo scoop and 18" Anthracite P1 wheels!! -Jack!

You are causing serious damage to mine and Jack's wallets - are you on commission from Mike, or what?
