Theres a few threads, heres what i`ve found after 10 minutes or so...all quotes from Ants.....

On the subject of the power figures, I uprated my package to the RC Developments Stage 3 - which clearly states on their website (and verbally) that boost is 1.6 bar and power is 380bhp (flywheel), if you don't believe me check it (http://www.rcdevelopments.co.uk)

As regards to what cams etc - I still am unsure, but have requested from Warrender a full breakdown of ALL uprated parts (I need this in any case so I can decide what to do with the car next!) - But thanks again for all that info
Power at the wheels was 274.8 bhp

My boost has been set at 1.6 bar and rises to a max of 1.76 bar

However - the boost readout was actually.....

Rose to 1.6bar at 4000 revs held it until 4600 revs then dropped off down to 1.36 bar at 6800

Don't get me wrong, I am very happy with the car and how it feels - however I originally paid for a 340 car, and have uprated to a 380 car - unless the calculations are done on an 80% transmission loss! - I'm nowhere near what I thought I had bought.
Then next, try a different Roling Road........

I have decided to book the car in to Power Engineering for a power run session on Wednesday 19th June ant 2pm

As everyone knows they use a different rolling road to G-force, and a lot of you have been on this road (including myself with the cossie)- so I can use those figures for comparison.

Hopefully this road should allow me to hold my boost.

I know there are a few on the board (including myself) who would like to know whether the Apexi's can deliver - hopefully we will find out.

If not the last resort that I may use is G-Force's very kind offer to dyno the engine.

Obviously I have send quite a bit of money on the car, so I need to check that what I have paid for is what I have got, although I am still convinced that all is ok (after all it holds boost on a tarmac road)
The day came and past......

So what happened?

Well, the general answer seem to be that I do have a problem holding boost, as it dropped off again.

Whether this is down to the Apexi AFC controller itself of a weak acuator spring, we be realised on Monday.

RC Development (coming to the recue again!!) are coming down to pick up my car and are going to get down to the bottom of the problem......so its not all bad news, and it seems that they are intent on getting the car sorted.

One thing that was raised and noticed, was that they are pretty sure that my 7 is the only one they have done with the 2 controllers, as all the others use the Power FC, although this still does not explain the drop off in boost.

The Torque figure was 311 lbs/ft from about 3500 to 4500 revs (held the torque across that rev range), I thought that that was pretty good, my graph was put up alongside Simon7 Extreme and was very very similar, except at the top end where my boost dropped off.

So at the end of the day the figures on G-Force were in fact accurate, PE recon 360bhp at the flywheel and G-Force said 361bhp - so again, nothing in it.

Please also bear in mind that it was a hot day, and PE have a quite small fan, but Mervyn was very helpful.

So here we are today, with Ants still missing power that he`s paid alot of money for.RC did take the car back, and set it up, to a higher figure, but going by the RR graph he was given, things where all not what they should have been still.

Theres been no answers from RC/Warranders on the MLR threads, so you have it all really

Rich.

Here we go..... The "You cant say that" brigade will be out..

To help him we all need to let him explain the facts and not turn it into a Muppet/slagging forum.
Then the truth can come out and noone can blame the audience!!

Exclamation

Okay, I must warn you that I will keeping a damn close eye on this thread and other threads about RC - not that I don't anyway, but I will be ensuring that they will be added to my *important to look at first list*

Slagging off of the company just because you are angry about things will not be acceptable, expect to moderated in some way.

Factual information and statements will be acceptable and if you think that the company have wronged you, ensure that you make it VERY CLEAR that it is YOUR OPINION.

For example "In my opinion I think that company X are crap because" NOT "Company X are crap"

If you wish to run a post by me before posting then feel free to send it via my profile email address.

Many thanks in advance,

Best Regards,

Michelle.

Good to know that there are forums out there which are not as stubbornly moderated as this one...

Claudius, as a moderator I have to moderate to the rules set by Scoobynet, which I do.

Whether you like it or not.

Claudius,

Quite simple, answer to your remark.

Considering your head is not on the block for legal issues, I suggest you pull your head out of your backside and get in the real world. If you are willing to financially back ANY legal proceedings against Scoobynet, we will be more than willing to relax moderating around these issues.......

The other solution is, is that if you think this board is not run to your liking........then why bother using it!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Shaun and Michelle

I cant see how scoobynet would be attacked for something an individual says. He could post the same on a German, American, Bahamas, Monaco etc web site. It surely isnt the forums / ISPs fault if you can access bad press for a company / child **** / BS through their services??

Other than that, I didnt mean to criticise you for doing what you are supposed to, but the general attitude (forum rules) that I find exaggerated.

As for using this forum, I dont use it much but enjoy reading some of the posts once in a while.

All the best

Claudius

Carl, basically, R.C. have certain "stages" of tune, at each stage of tune, be it 1, 2 or 3 they also give you the BHP figure, i.e. Stage 1 = 330bhp, stage 2 = 350bhp for instance.

Now what Ants did was pay a load of money for a car with one of R.C`s stage tunes on board, which basically isnt providing the stated amount of BHP.Its been back to RC a couple of times now AFAIK and its still not producing said amount of power that it should be, and Ants is not getting the response he expects/would like from RC/Warrenders and so is threatening to take legal action.

Hope thats o.k. for ya Michelle

Rich.

Sorry, there is one thing that everyone is missing, and that is an independent engine report by "Fraser" who has examined my engine at Steve Hill motorsport- it is this report that I am more concerned with, lets just say for the moment that the car has been on the drive for 2 weeks, as I have not driven it

Watch this space and the thread on the MLR, You are only scratching the surface of the problems!
Don't just dismiss this as a "failure to meet the advertised power" claim.

As long as whats reported is facts and truth then there can be no legal action against the board as its not technically slander.

The boards I help moderate use the same rules - If someone just comes on and belly rumbles then its removed, if its truth and fact then it stays.

So damn easy for ppl to say "this is crap" or "I dont like this" but put some thought into it and give reasons.

This seems as though there is a great differance in the power predicted and paid for than achieved, Now may i add that at times there are just natuarally quicker cars of same standard spec than others of same make and model for no apparent reason,
i.e; My current Terzo was quicker standard than my 1st and my 3rd 3door cossie was faster standard than my previous 2. Not defending RC (as i have no reason to) but there is a slight possibility that you have naturally slower (poss not right referance) standard car, A little more information would be helpful (depends how much for legal reasons) then hopefully we could maybe come to a conclusion as RC seem like they dont/wont for you.

I understand that you dont like me saying that I dont care about the freedom of speech restricting laws in your country, since you live there. I didnt mean to offend you or anybody, just trying to tell you that if you live in a country like that, there's ways around it...

The MLR was closed down because people were personally attacking a well-respected Technical director at Ralliart UK for no reason, and I did never join in then, I actually talk to that person on the phone once in a while and have never had problems with him or the company.
