Its a sound thing
would you have bought your scooby if it hadnt that flat four sound? c'mon you have to admit its a big part of it when considering buying a scoob!I think its a major smile factor when you floor it and everybody looks to see the jet that just took off up the road!
Was one of the top factors for me. Was nearly ready to buy a hot hatch like the MG ZR or CTR then heard a UK turbo go down the street with a SS backbox and I knew that it was the car for me.
I bought my first one in 97 and must admit it was the sound that did it for me,I had a moodded astra GSI and loved it too bits then at the killarney rally of the lakes drivin along with window down (as you do)and a scooby rumbled past "WTF was that" that was it love at first sight, sold the astra and bought scooby two weeks later and ive been driving scoobies since.Ive been walkin the last few months as i sold my RB5 and its killin me,cant wait to get back behind the wheel again.Im lookin for an STI5 RA but cant find one.

standard UK scoobs are very quiet. Theres no flat4 burble at all, except on idle.
