Question

OOOOps should have said Clutch!!

My whole Clutch Assembly is dangling under the dash - I cant quite get underneath to fix it - should be a warranty item yes??

Anyone else had this trouble??

Oh yes, I have not modified my car, raced it or abused it

Pete,

This is when you find out that your warranty has been voided by that non IM approved tow bar (and wasn't it also not fitted by an approved dealer?)......

Well, thank you Matt!!

It was actually fitted by a Senior Engineer currently serving on the Engineering Design of the Nations Nuclear Missile Defence System - I think that should suffice in the court of the land wouldnt you??

Anyone any help?? Surely I am not the only one to suffer a dangling whatsaname???????????

Pete

I think it's quite out of order for you to expect the warranty to be upheld when you've modded your car...

The approach you need to take is:

"Hello Mr Service Manager, although I am loathed to do this I must leave my car at your below standard garage facilities, to have a problem diagnosed. I will probably have to draw you a picture to explain my problem, as undoubtably your mechanics are inept. Please don't take this critisism too harshly as I am far more knowledgable than you, and I can't expect you to get it right first time.

If at any time you do not perform to my expectations, I will slate your establishment to the whole world, because I will then have to retract what I have previously said about the benefit of owning a standard UK car."

I think this will fit your needs perfectly, but I have probably toned it down a bit for your needs.
