Just had my childish bit of fun for the evening. Stopped at a crossroads at traffic lights. I was in the inside lane. Porsche Boxter draws up alongside, looks across with a want to race gesture. I shook my head and at this he made another gesture, whether about me or the car I don't know. At this I pointed ahead & said yes lets go. Lots of revving later lights change to green and he roars off into the distance.
I meanwhile turn left into the road that I was going in the first place. Life is sweet sometimes

Nearly had a laugh when I read your posts m8. Pity it seems to take 5 mins before another thought comes in to your head and you can post it. The point was I did not want to race. Bought the car cos I liked it. Not because other tw*ts wanted to race it. Don't give a sh*t whether its a saxo or a porsche but if anyone wants to make gestures like Mr Porsche did he deserves all he gets. If he had done it in the pub/street etc I would probably have nutted him.

Ignore subster, he's either on a wind up (in which case he's succeded, well done subster, you did it ), he's a little sad or he got out of bed the wrong side this morning. Either way just ignore him.

I think you did the honourable thing. I either rev the car a bit, creep forward and then go absolutely nowhere when someone wants to race (the most usual reaction) and watch them scream away on amber and then take my time pulling away slowly on green. Occasionally, if it's safe to do so, I do nothing, no reving, no creeping and then blitz them (up to the speed limit) and then watch them catch me back up and sail by.......

I've seen this done b4, and I never laughed so much in all my life, caught up with the lad in the RS Turbo who went straight on and just drove by laughing me *** off, he was so pissed off coz he realised he'd been out witted... he was in the middle of town and the lane on the left was left turn only!!!!
