I'm getting seriously bored by certain guys that come on this board asking questions that are very thinnly disguised ways of saying" I've just bought a BMW 330 and my partner drives a Skyline and now need help/advice to pick another car,please could you guys help me".In other words how many times can I mention the number of cars I own in one post? I'm sorry to sound cynical but this sort of post is really beginning to annoy me.I mean d'ont you have real friends to brag to?.Maybe we should be done with it and just compare salaries. Come on guys lets raise the level of debate on this board

by the way, why is it people buying integras, caterhams, elises etc are spared your bile?because they aint beemers ? i always read with interest other peoples comparisons of other great cars against the scooby. i have always used the scooby as a benchmark by which most others are measured.
what do you say to a fella whose considering , say, a tvr. he might want to sell his scooby, losing a bomb coz of depreciation etc for a car that other people on this bbs have owned and can give unbiased advice about.
is this fella a show off? or does he go on this bbs with the best intentions and leave himself open to derogatory remarks like you made about me.

Spudgun, this is not an attack at you, but it would to me that Deep Singhs post, is not aimed particularly at you, and does in no way put down your car and praise imprezas over all others.

I think his point was related to the way people are phrasing their posts so that it looks like they have money to burn and are showing off about it.

I must admit that I never got this impression from reading your posts, I was just clrifying that it is not the make of cars he is objecting to.

The thing is, if you are considering buying a car as a second car, then how else do you say it is a second car, without having a first car?
