Cool

Can anyone tell me the standard boost pressure for the MY97 UK scoob? At present my boost is set at 17-18psi peak, which along with a few other choice mods gives around 300Bhp and 260lbft.
I seem to recall mine was around 1bar standard (15psi ish).

Cheers,
Leeroy

Leeroy, standard boost on MY97 is 0.9 bar with fuel cut at 1.2 bar. That is 13.1 psi and fuel cut at 17.4 psi. That means without getting a fuel cut defender the mas boost you should be able to run is 17.3psi(1.19bar). I have just fitted dawes tonight and am getting about 16psi held with peak at 16.5 psi, kept hitting fuel cut with it turned up just a tad more. Hope this helps.

Marc,
Cheers for that m8, at the moment I have a fuel cut defencer in place, which by your reckoning should be stooping me around 1.2Bar. According to my boost gauge, this is what i'm running.
Dan, when tested recently, the boost was set at 16-17psi, which gave around 264Bhp. An extra 2psi gave around 300Bhp, although this was on a very hot day, so this should easily be around 310-320Bhp on a cold run.
Basically, I was expecting the thing to show around 230Bhp, although as was discovered, the ECU is of modified variety (yet to investigate). The RR guy was very impressed with the smooth running and fuelling of the engine, and also the exhaust HC content was minute (no oil burning). The torque curve is practically flat from around 3500-6000rpm at both boost levels, and it was agreed by the guy and myself that all the signs were there to allow the boost to be upped a couple of psi, with no ill-effects with regards detonation etc.
Also, the transmission losses were suprisingly low at around 50Bhp front, 80Bhp rear (I think).

Mods to date are:
SSport exhaust, k&n panel, dawes MBC, fuel cut defencer, modded ECU to be ascertained. It also runs pure Optimax.

What fuel cut defender are you using, after fitting dawes and going a tad fast to get a peak and held I still keep hitting fuel vut, gauge shows 1.14 bar so I'm guessing it's 0.6 out. I don'y want to be greedy with the power but it would be nice to peak at 1.2 and hold a bit lower. I have dawes mbc and afr, magnex bb, blitz filter and forge dv, standard ecu and optimax but no idea what bhp, torque at moment.
