There is another company in London but nowhere near as competitive (& I mean NOWHERE!).

You need to gain some history with them & then the premium comes down. I ran option 4 @ BA & that was £105 Probably OTT for that circuit & PTMW! now but peace of mind.

Face it Greg, you're a risk!!!

BA is an airfield hence cheaper Puff, so you may be paying £155 for a track day on a race track

Greg,

the cost has risen dramatically for us Scots, who used to get 12k of cover for as little as £35 last year.

However, we now take out the option for about £5k of cover, as virtually all the track day accidents I've heard about have involved about £2k - £4k worth of damage. Most incidents on track tend to involve a front end or side on impact with a tyre wall, and you can easily replace these panels, including door skins, for about £4k including all parts, labour and VAT.

Cheers ( I think) John at least it is hitting all of us. Makes a massive difference to the viability of a track day

When you get adverts for track days in Revs, etc, perhaps it could be that the clientele of a track day is changing?

Exclamation

Why do you need track day insurance??

Surely the accident happened 2 days later on that local B road, there where no other cars involved and you just lost it

And it is not unheard of for 'strange' people to be about, videoing those on track.

It may be one of the urban myths, but 50% of the bikes at the Dono day I went to had their number plates taped up BEFORE THEY ARRIVED!!! They cited insurance company spotters as the reason.

Of course, a bike is a little easier to load onto a flatbed, plus they can't get track insurance anyway.

Speak to Tom (Rum) next time your insurance is due. I pay £52 per track day for full replacement value with 10% excess. OK so a little bump I'll have to pay out of my pocket, but its more the rolling/stacking it fast into the tyres I'm bothered about having cover for...
