Anyone still waiting for the new service books now the intervals have changed. I have not seen mine since the 1k service and my dealer said it was not sweat, as I would be getting a new one since the intervals changed from 7.5 to 10 thousand. 4 Months later nothing (calls, dropping in have achieved zilch
Anyone else waiting and for how long, or did you get yours quite quickly. Cheers
Jim
Got mine back this Morning
After sending a letter confirming that unless I receive the book within 24 hours I would be changing dealership for servicing and the order for my new car would be going else where
that did the trick

So let me get this straight, have you guys got cars that were bought on the 7500 mile time and are now going to only service them every 10K is this correct, if so should I be getting a new service book???

Andy, picked my motor last July and it came with the standard 7.5 K service book. Subaru then announced that motors from that period would only now need to be serviced every 10K or 12 months or what ever is the sooner, hence the service book reprints. This was confirmed by SGT Taplow to me, who by the way did not lose my service book
- Not sure if they are classified as MY02's or 01's (when i picked up my first scooby on the 1st aug 98, it was classifed as a 99 model), Suggest if you have a bugeye, you should check with your local dealercheers
Jim
I have a my01 and received my new revised service book together with my old one with "superceeded " all over it an the " old " services are now stamped in the new book, only niggle is last service was at 15.000 ,garage says should really do the next to "bring in line" at 20,000 or warranty claim could be suspect

Yep got mine back after about four weeks, but the previous owner bit has been wronglt copied, so looks quite funny now. I'll mention it at 32,500 miles or enxt March (if I haven't swapped it by then).

Anyone been stung with a major 7.5 K interval service not so long ago and do you now have to look at a further interim to stay within warranty ??? Wonder what the policy is ??????
Cheers
Jim
well. lancasters of Pangbourne did my 15,000 service and then, when I came back to collect the car announced that the service intervals had changed and sent the service book off for 2 months - when it came back, the 15,000 mile service in the old book had the service sticker and the whole page had
"SUPERCEDED SUBARU UK LTD" in big blue letters.
the 15,000 mile service had been crossed out and changed to 20,000 by some helpful induhvidual in the old book - even though the car had only done 15,000 miles.
strangely enough, the new book is completly empty. My car is a my01 wrx wagon bought quite early on in 2001 - so I imagine that the new service intervals applies to all my01's bought in the UK.
