Noise from accelerator lift off........

Tony's right, MY99 had problems with vibrating pipes and given the RB5 is based on the MY99 it's probably no different.

If you rev the engine in 2nd slowly, you should here the vibration start, then stop further up the rev range.

My RB5 starts at 4000rpm, then stops just after (4100rpm). Only really notice it in 2nd and sometimes 3rd. 1st is too short and 4th and 5th haven't given any problems.

Have a search under the Drivetrain forum as I'm sure this a fix. Dealer should sort it if you point them in the right direction.

Just picked up my RB5 Prodrive on saturday - awesome!! The only thing I have noticed is that when acclerating hard, when I lift of the accelerator to change up I can hear a slight vibrating/rattling sound. This seems to be coming from behind the accelerator. Definately in the driver side footwell. Happens most of the time.
Any one heard of this before???

Didnt some of the MY99 suffer from the pipes vibrating against the bulkhead???
Havnt heard of any problems on the RB5's thou?

Also, could be the dump valve and hence normal.

Brake lines vibrating, heat shields....

Both happened to me...easy fixed.
