Got an A3 TURBO and it handles better than my Scoob - or is it cos I'm traveeling twice as fast in the Scoob

I have the antilift kit, front and rear ARB'S and rear linkages with bump steer and other geometry - but its still crap!

After driving the Audi the 16 inch Scoob tyres feel really small and squirmy - like they are way too small for the car!

Has anyone else noticed that the wheels feel small and sometimes they feel like there about to fall off!! - only really noticed this lately

I'd sell the Scoob - but I aint gonna as I dont need the money and also I dont see that someone else should benefit from a car I'v e spent £40k on which will sell for about £15k that is only 21 months old

Cool

youve spent 40k on your car and still dont have 17" wheels on ????
what the hell have you spent 40k on???
either this is a wind up, or you are SERIOUSLY p1ssed off! whats made you upset?
is your car handling really that badly?
sorry if its a daft question, but if youve spent all that dough on mods, how can it handle worse than an a3

Cool

I spent all of £350 for some 2nd hand P1 springs & dampers (from a breaker) for my WRX, and it handles great!

Leigh

I've just done the same on mine, TYpe RA, so it was way too hard before.

Honestly couldn't ask for more now, it's brilliant! Must be a bargain!

Cool

Everyone knows that company cars are the fastest cars on the road... Many company car drivers seem to follow the "drive it like you stole it" or "drive it like it's a hire car" techniques.

Yer right there - plus the company car is self insured anyway!

I think I'll be off to Michel Dever/Powerstation at some point to get it sorted

Leigh - the P1 Springs and dampers I've seen looked identical to my sti5 ones! - so much for Prodrive changes?

17's are on the cards - I like the Speedline 7 spokes - but I still am not convinced they fit over AP 4 pots? - I only really like Compomotive ones as well

As far as the £40k goes - actually more but its involved crap engine mapping and blown turbo's along the way

Steve,

Certainly fitting 17" wheels will sharpen things up a bit. Plus some decent rubber(S02's).
I remember catching you fairly easily through those twisty bits from the Severn bridge meet we had. As mines still only got 208bhp it must have been the grip/ handling (or driver), i've got Leda/17" and S02's.

Cheers

Steve.
