What happened scoobynet?
I remember back in the day there was hundreds of new threads started each day, where did everyone go!?
The parts for sale section used to be a great area to find and sell bits!!

Quieter yes , but don't forget Don , the man who knows all 👍 a lot of sites appear to have moved to FB , Gtr site is on Telegram , I don't do face book , the advantage on this site easy to search for your questions , plus knowledge is broad
Lots of things happened, but mainly the world moved on. The UK importer of Subaru doesn't really import anything performance-orientated and Subaru themselves haven't released a world-beater in at least a decade now.
The direct competition in 2024 such as Golf Rs and Honda Civics are better cars than the latest WRX STI.
But the thing is, 20 years ago the Imprezas and Evos were running rings around supposedly bigger and better cars. These days a hot 1-series or a performance turbodiesel saloon will annihilate an Impreza - and let's not talk about M3s, M5s, RS4s and RS6s.
People have moved away from Subarus and are talking about their machinery over social media, which didn't really exist when Scoobynet came into existence.
I'd love it if Subaru or Mitsubishi released a 500+ bhp AWD small saloon as a spiritual successor to the great cars of yesteryear but I can't see it happening at all unfortunately. Not even an electric one.

I had a couple of Golf R s (2017 & 2019) at the same time as my Classic PPP. As everyday, usable, high performance cars, the Golfs were fantastic.
The Impreza only comes out in the dry during the 'warm' months. I always feel connected, a bit scared in a good way maybe, and it still feels quick and fun after 25 years, but for 95% of the year, a 3.0 diesel quattro takes some beating overall.
