Default Power steering pump

Morning folks, wonder if any of you wonderful people would know where I can source a power steering pump for my May 1998 Scooby 2.0t UK model? Does any other year fit without mods?
Thank you in advance.

You may be able to rebuild it. You used to be able to buy the complete seal kit from ICP.

EBay, there are two v4 pumps for sale right now. Why do you need a new one? Leaking or whining?

You mention "May 1998" in your original post.
In order to determine the correct model year (MY) of your car
The 10th character of the VIN will be a W for MY98 or an X for MY99
Similarly the 4th character of the applied model code will be an F for MY98 or G for MY99
The MY98 is fitted with the EJ20G engine which uses the 34411FA111 steering pump
The MY99 is fitted with the EJ205 engine which uses the 34411FA220 steering pump.

Your confusion is probably due to the overlap of Model Years in their build dates in Japan. and parts suppliers use the starting build date in their adverts

If "May 1998" is the UK registration month then it's most likely to be a MY98 as it's usually about 3 months before they arrive in the UK.

Thanks Don, appreciate your time. The one I need is 34411FA111. JP-Car Parts have now also confirmed this is the one I need.
Looks like the two on eBay are for a MY99 :-(

Thanks Nicam49 - ICP sent me a link to this when they advised the pump is discontinued.
Would you or anyone reading this know if the seal kit change is for a specialist?
Thanks.

Have you tried replacing the top oring? (
common failure)

And putting worm drive clamps on all hoses. incl the steering rack. You will no see a drip but air will get in causing the whine.

Grinding noise require a new pump.
