programming new keys on 2010 hatch nightmare
i recently ordered 2 new keys and fobs for my 2010 wrx s hatch for 140 pounds , when the keys arrived i was given a sequence of numbers i had to key in on the touch pad on drivers side footwell i may add the keys start the car , but will not lock unlock through the alarm , buttons, ive tried to program them at least 25 times and so has a ex subaru mechanic with no luck ,the keys have been back to the company that supplied them to check chip programming and found to be ok , so im at a loss of what to do , the old original key starts and locks unlocks on the buttons so i just use the old key which seems a bit pointless after spending 140 quid
I found my key code didn't work on a Subaru I had wasn't a hatch but can't remember which one,but I came to the conclusion that a previous owner had changed the keypad to there own pin number.
Is that a possibility 🤔
Are you the only owner or......

This may or may not help you , I bought a 2008 jdm sti hatch , I had one fully working key and one key that would start the car , it would start by being touched in the push start button as it's an over ride system , the key I have is the grey square box like one , an odd looking fob , I took it to a key place in London and they said water damage , they un soldered the chip from the damaged fob and soldered it into a used fob as new fobs of that style cannot be bought any more , I know you are some distance from London but if this works for you you could post a new key and your original key to them , they are called Auto key specialist Ltd in NW10 , the used fob was 70£ the chip swap was 70£ 👍
