Hi all new here, so I've recently got a year 2000 uk turbo, runs great in the first 3 gears, I can hit 80 easily in 3rd around 7k revs, the second I put the car in 4th or 5th the rpm dropps to 3k revs and will not go any higher, if I go to 3rd again it shoots back up, I'm at a complete loss as to what this could be

 

Is the car standard?

 

Yes it's completely standard, just had a full engine rebuild about 2k miles ago I've had it checked for leaks, fitted a new maf, changed air filter I'm at a loss 😂

 

revs on map dialed back for 4 and 5th gear for new learner,thats normal for new scoob onwers

 

It's a standard UK turbo map and standard ecu I've just done on board code reader and it's now coming up 23 maf 32 lambda and 45 pressure but it had a new maf pressure and lambda sensor fitted about 3 weeks ago

 

Was the maf a genuine subaru item? They are very fussy on mafs. I use to carry a spare in the glove box on my old 1999 uk turbo

 

Did you reset the ecu after fitting the new parts?
