Default 2003 wrx heater core by passed

I have posted here and get some replies but not always ,I think new to forum and maybe not posting on the right place, anyway had heaters not blowing hot in cabin when I bought it,checked today again and there is a coolant bypass pipe n heater pipes that come out of fire wall, well nothing connected to them,so I'm assuming bad heater core ,must have been disconnected so it wouldn't leak inside cabin,I've heard its a big job replacing heater core behind the dashboard, any help is welcome, thanks in advance

A big job.
Attached are the relevant AC (HVAC system) and EI ( Exterior/Internal Trim) body pdf sections from the workshop manual.
These cover most of what is involved.

If you have a newage then I have a fully working heater core that I have removed from a blobeye, it is a big job as the dash and dash bar needs to be removed !
