Default rear demister wiring

Massively long shot, but the wires for my rear window demister have been cut and removed at some point (because of cage...), but I'm now trying to get the rear demister working again.

I suspect the wire has been cut off in the harness somewhere, but I can't currently find where it runs.

There is a wiring terminal / tab on the rear window up towards the roof on the passenger side. Is this where the +12v feed connects? Also, does anyone know where (or at least which side) the original wire would have run down?

Any help appreciated - I could run a new wire from the relay (which I can hear clicking), but it'd be much easier if I could find the cut cable and join from there

@Don Clark my goodness, that is absolutely perfect! Thank you so much!

Also, you should set up one of those "buy me a coffee" type donation pages

woohoo, found it thanks to the wiring diagram

added a temporary connector to check if it comes on with the button, and I do indeed get 12v across the cables with the demister activated

next up, solder connectors back onto the little things here:
