Default Reverse lights staying on

Happens on my MY00 turbo. I can sometimes get it to come off by putting it in and out of reverse, but I can't always tell they are on when driving. Can I access the switch from the inside?

No.
The wiring may be slightly different but the location of the switches is the same.....

I've still not sorted this as not used the car much.

I'm about to order a switch. Sorry @Don Clark , I should've mentioned its a Forester MY00.
I took the switch off a while back, to have a look, it didn't have that plug on it form your link. It was grey and more square, Do you have a part number for it? I can't seem to locate one on opposed forces.

Looking into it, it might be this part: https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/par...se&searchPart=
It does look similar.

It's the furthest to the front one on the gearbox casing. Follow the wire up to the plug.

Forester MY00 - current part numbers
if it has the gearbox oil pump (oil cooler in bottom of rad), its 32005AA092
if it doesn't then 32005AA081
