Reverse lights staying on
Happens on my MY00 turbo. I can sometimes get it to come off by putting it in and out of reverse, but I can't always tell they are on when driving. Can I access the switch from the inside?

No.
The wiring may be slightly different but the location of the switches is the same..... https://www.subaruoutback.org/cdn-cg...1&d=1390220214 Switch assembly-back lamp, 32005AA081 |

I've still not sorted this as not used the car much.
I'm about to order a switch. Sorry @Don Clark , I should've mentioned its a Forester MY00. I took the switch off a while back, to have a look, it didn't have that plug on it form your link. It was grey and more square, Do you have a part number for it? I can't seem to locate one on opposed forces. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.sco...f59f0904eb.jpg Looking into it, it might be this part: https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/par...se&searchPart= It does look similar. |
It's the furthest to the front one on the gearbox casing. Follow the wire up to the plug.

Forester MY00 - current part numbers
if it has the gearbox oil pump (oil cooler in bottom of rad), its 32005AA092 if it doesn't then 32005AA081 |
