Hi guy’s, I’ve been experiencing problems with my 2004 Subaru Forester it’s been dumping fuel out the exhaust like a flood getting probably only a mile per a gallon I’ve put all new O2 sensors, fuel injectors, fuel regulator, EGR valve, spark plugs, wires and coil pack and fuel pump relay. I’ve bench tested purge control solenoid works perfectly fine checked the charcoal canister it was good checked compression and everything was holding up changed oil cause there was a bunch of fuel in it cause of to much fuel being sent to the cylinders I’m about out of ideas and need serious help if anyone else has experienced this problem I’ve heard some times one of the valves go out on the fuel pump that would cause the fuel pump to push to much gas to the engine but I don’t know if that is true plus also just today when I put more fuel in it to check a few more things my gas gauge all of a sudden dropped way below empty and my gas light came on but I’m guessing that just the fuel sending unit. Haven’t drove this car in almost two months now just been sitting and putting new parts in for fuel related problems.

far more likely its a faulty injector or injector seal but normally with so much fuel it would hydro-lock and not start........??

 

I had a similar problem on a 2005 Forester XT a few years ago and it was a faulty ECU.

 

Another vote for a faulty ecu

 

I've seen new cars driving down the road chucking loads of petrol out of the exhaust. You might want to change the title from gas too petrol. As it could be misleading lol
