Default Rear wheel drive only

How easy would it be to send all power to rear wheels on an 03 blob wagon wrx? I’ve just been looking at a a lot of sideways action with mk1 mk 2 escorts on YouTube. Not for a daily driver!

As easy as removing the front driveshafts- they connect to stubs that remain in the gearbox.

Whether it will work well with the diffs etc. is another matter.

would simply spin the centre all day and go nowhere.........

you would need to weld / lock the centre diff so it actually drove through instead of wasting its energy

Can be done cheaply enough but the rear drive shafts won't last long.

Yes, a dedicated rear wheel drive car is a more sensible idea from the sounds of it!
