Default Power Steering rack o rings 04 Forester XT

Hey All,

Leaky PS rack here; so thinking the best starting point would be to replace the o rings in the unions on the rack.

I need parts A7/8 from this diagram, which I think are part numbers 34616VA010 and 000...which only seem to be available from the states

Subaru UK don't have them any longer and I'm waiting for a call back from ICP...

I can buy a generic box of o rings and see what works but would prefer to use the right parts first time around...

Cheers
Ian

That's strange. I ordered 2x of each about a month ago here in Sweden, no problems at all. According to this they even fit up to some 2021 cars so it seems very strange that they wouldn't be available. I think these O-rings may be the same for most Subarus.

Make sure they're not looking at the older part number. If think they have been updated but the old number may show up in the system.

According to jp-carparts.com my car should have 31260GA040 and 31260GA050 but they have been replaced by the above. These two are unavailable now but they fit the same.

Thanks Turbovin...ICP have saved the day; posting me two of each (in case of ham-fisted fitting) for under £15.

I'll post photos once they arrive to confirm the parts number as this may help others

Mate just for future reference if Subaru don't have any stock they can get them from Japan at no extra cost to you. Its at that stage now where parts are cheaper directly from the dealership then they are second hand. Not everything but quite a few things.

I couldn't agree more! Over in Leicester Unity Motors, the main dealer are brilliant at getting Subaru parts in OVERNIGHT if ordered before 2pm, and they have access to Subaru's parts database to see if a part is in the UK or not.

Delivery to Subaru dealerships - if the part is in stock in West Brom (IM Logistics) - is overnight as standard for most areas.
