Hi all so I've been doing a bit of hunting and it seems like there's a few different answers depending on if it's STI.. or a wagon or a wrx wagon or wrx normal saloon shape.

so I'm looking to just update my drop links and bushes on the front and rear anti roll bars..

I saw these super pro drop links..

but then I have also seen updated design versions..

I've done Super pro in the past and never had probs so I'm tempted to do that.

also.. what size are the anti roll bars on these cars? 17 or 19mm ? Or bigger? I'm gonna order new bushes too and need to know the diameter.

any thoughts fling them my way guys

the wagon uses a solid plastic link F&R on that age and be best to update them with the solid aluminium type
as for roll bars I think the wagon uses 17mm F and 19mm R at that age but best to actually check whats fitted as lots can happen in 20yrs........

 

cheers yep I am not sure what size is on but some non stretchy string and the ol pi equation should give me a good answer heh I'll double check.

so the links are actually a plastic front and back? I knew the rear was but didn't know front too. Ok I'll get them sorted.. would you say those drop links on that eBay link seem ok?

 

Even easier than that, use an adjustable spanner and measure the distance between the spanner flats.

 

The drop links in your first link are for saloons. The ones on the second are for Wagons.

The wishbones, ARBs and drop links on the front are all different between saloon and wagon. You shouldn't mix and match.

 

thanks mate yep that's why I asked on this thread as I seemed to get numerous opinions. I'm just after tightening those parts up so any urls or advice on what to buy would be great ta

 

Ok so reading about and collating some info the general consensus is the stock arbs on the wrx wagon are good but let down with plastic links. Most ppl say replace those and the bushes too.. so here's my shakedown list lol..

front links..
Front links

front bushes.. (not newage but should be same right?)
Front bushes


Rear links..
Rear Links

rear bushes (93-00 year... I don't know if they are different for newage?
Rear bushes 17mm

any thoughts on this lot chaps?

Just get the parts from ICP to ensure they are the right ones.

 

wasn't aware they do those metal replacement parts I'll look now
