Heated Mirror Failed
Hi All,
Was looking for some help on troubleshooting/fixing my passenger side wing mirror on my 2006 WRX Hawkeye which has stopped heating, the driver's side mirror is heating and defrosting fine. From what I've looked up there is only one fuse for both wing mirror heaters so it shouldn't be a fuse issue. Any help with knowing which replacement parts may be required would be great or is it easier to just get a replacement wing mirror?
Cheers.

From what I've read I should be able to remove the glass from the mirror assembly by tilting it back and using a flat head screwdriver to release a clip? This would release the platform the mirror adheres, allowing me to seperate the glass away from the car?

Had a chance to take a look at the mirror, there appears to be a bezel/frame over the glass which I'm assuming is removed before I can heat and remove the glass. Any idea on the best way to remove this?

The bezel is what holds the glass in and is what you heat up to soften and lever out the glass

I copied the part code again after putting it into eBay, I think it may have auto-corrected it for a similar part name and didn't realise when I pasted it into my post.
Hopefully, it's not an expensive part.

Just rang a Subaru Dealership and got quoted £80 for the part, special order from Japan, payment up front and no refunds. Might be worth looking at breakers for a complete wing mirror? or just get a can of de-icer
