Default Looking for ej20e engine!!

Hi, All not sure this is the correct place to put but I can’t write a thread in the car parts section ain’t allowing me even though I am on option 2 membership. I am looking for a complete engine due to my bottom end has gone on mine thanks.

Why not just rebuild yours ? it can be a gamble with a used engine and a new one may not be very cheap

It really depends on how far you want to go , gaskets yes , head bolts are probably a good idea , forged pistons , oil pump , crank , the benefit is once you do it properly it will last you could even add a stroker kit if you want a bit more power , for a full rebuild on a 2.5 it’s around 5000£ , i’ve had both my 2.5 rebuilt one is now on around 175,000 miles

Mine is not a 2.5 it’s a 2.0 non turbo bud

You can pick up non turbo ej20 units for about 3-400 on eBay. They've probably had a reasonably easy life, but as always used engines are a gamble.

Rebuild on a non turbo ej20 won't be THAT far off the cost of a turbo rebuild (especially on a high mileage unit), so I'd personally be surprised if you got change from 2k för for a non turbo rebuild.
