Post V4 STI ecu upgrade

Hi guys,could you tell me the best option to upgrade the ECU on a V4 STI GC8?
my standard ecu is 75.
should i go with a second hand one or a new one?
alcatek,simtek,apexi,esl,link?

upgrades: DW 255 fuel pump,k&n panel filter,custom exhaust,vf28 turbo (i want to change it with VF35).Also the engine was rebuild 15000 km ago with ARP bolt,Manley pistons,spec C oil pump,12mm Cosworth manifold metal gasket,Gates timing belt,oil separator.

Will have an alcatek here in a couple of weeks lc and al activated only changing due to upgrade £250 + P&P and fees.

Best options are link, syvecs, motec. Wether they are budget friendly at around £1500-2000 is another matter.

depends how you define "best" tho, certainly syvecs will be leading the way for features but there's nothing in your build that couldn't be sorted with an ESL board fitted inside your current 75 ecu.

esl all day long, cheap and full of fun stuff to play with. buy the cable and map urself. others are a bitch to work with, no consumer support
