Default Can't select any gears

Opinions please.
I can't seem to select any gears with the engine on or off.
I have disconnected the shift stick and can manually select gears using the push rod (I don't know the technical name for it).
I've got a turbo uk2000 year 2000 engine Ej205
Could my gear selector be goosed?

Had a look today, everything seems to be in place,I'm stumped as to what it can be,at first I thought it was the box,but due to the fact I can put it in all gears by disconnecting the shift stick rules out the box being knackered.

Yeah it seems to be missing on mine,I wouldn't of thought that would cause it not select any gears though.
I'm pulling the plug on this one and taking it to a garage tomorrow, see if they can find out what the problem is.

Selector shaft in the tail casing of the box will probably be bent/twisted were you giving it some beans and quick changes.

If you can select gears without linkage connected then you have chances are twisted the shaft that the roll pin goes through in your pics. It runs down to select your gears on the back end of your centre case. Was trying to find a photo of one but can't at the minute either way you tail casing will have to come off the box.

don't know if this is sorted but I had same thing in my 99uk, so all I did was put it in 3rd with engine off , start engine , bang back into neutral start engine . sorted never happened since. clutch plates I believe were stuck due to been parked up for a wk in hot humid air.

just to add I have a ty54 box (stronger ) than ty52 here if needed. fully working and no wines. a minor 3rd gear synchro grind, u could use it as donor ..... strip it for parts to be replaced.

Is the ball of the lever secure in the shaft.
The spring is only there to centre the lever it wouldn't affect gear selection.
Can you select all the gears with the gear lever disconnected as per your pic above. If you can then it's a gear lever issue.

Make sure there's a circlip at the bottom holding the gear stick in place.
