Default Back in a subaru after a long break!

Made the mistake of looking for a cheap estate car to run as a daily through the winter and somehow ended up with this...Name: 20160926_143313_zpsvdtj6xz6.jpg

Also have a spare 92 legacy turbo which I'm breaking which may be closed deck block etc

Sold my mk2 golf to fund the two legacies unfortunately, I bought the golf almost 3 years ago as a 16v on twin 40's but it wasn't quick enough so I converted it to 1.8 20v turbo with quaife LSD and it was certainly quick enough when I sold it!

Bordercontrol, what would you like know fella? I swapped one off a friend about 10 years ago which was the same colour but in terrible condition so got rid straight away, seen this local and had to have it.

It needs ALOT of time and money put into it but I'm looking at it as a long term project so not too worried.....

I don't have many photos of it as I've just bought it and been too busy, it's a 1993 legacy turbo
EJ20 closed deck block
It has a few upgrades like the wheels and a 3" exhaust, and I think the brakes may be Impreza 4 pots.

I'm going to have to go over the full car then ring my insurance back with my findings lol, I believe these were only about 200bhp but this car seems to be absolutely rapid.

Would anyone happen to know what psi the turbo should be running?

197bhp (200PS).

The early 208bhp Impreza Turbo 2000 was, IIRC, at c.0.7bar (10.2psi) - so it'll be somewhere around that figure, I'll wager. Prob. 9psi(?)

Purely out of interest, have you had an Impreza before (with similar power)? If so, how does the heavier Legacy compare in the acceleration stakes?

Do you know its kerb weight?

I've had the uk blob sti in my profile pic it's hard to compare as the blob felt heavy anyway but was also 330bhp, the legacy feels fast probably as its old but after having a poke around it seems to be tuned a bit more than I thought it boosts to 21psi for a start so Saturday's first job is to turn the boost down lol

I should add the gear ratios feel a bit longer in the legacy also so you spend a lot more time riding around off boost.
