so am in the market for buying my first impreza. i have a couple in mind tho am going to view a 2004 wrx sti. car is lovely looking tho only thing putting me off is the mileage at 111000. how reliable are these cars in terms of engines?

 

If your going for higher miles service history is the key. You want full history and not heavily modified.

 

The engines are tough, but need really good servicing.
Stuff to look out for:
Rocker cover gaskets ooze.
Suspension knocks.
Standard wrx front brakes seize.
Radiator cores collapse.
None of which (apart from the suspension) is particularly expensive to sort out, but it is worth checking for.
