I have been following the threads on the Delta Dash with interest and I am considering getting one.

I checked the price on the UK site and £219 + shipping didn't sound too bad.

Unfortunately, MRT Rally in Australia has apparently been appointed the Australia and New Zealand distributor of the product (I am in NZ).

Now don't get me wrong, I think MRT are very good and have bought from them before - the problem though is the price: $850 Australian dollars, or £333 converted back. That is over 50% more expensive and ECUTEK won't supply directly in my region...

Not very fair on us NZers, huh? - sounds like MRT are taking advantage of an exclusive?

It does seem a bit harsh. I noticed it myself. However it also depends on how much EcuTek are selling it to MRT. MRT then have to calculate and make their profits. I'm not trying to defend MRT here, but it could be the case where they are paying a fair bit more for it cos EcuTek also have to make a profit, hence the higher price.

Cheers,

Wrexy.

Seems to work both ways. We pay almost double the Auz price for link products such as Knocklink We can't buy them direct either, MRT tell us to use the UK distributor.

Seems we could help each other out here

Hey Andy:

Hmmm... could be onto something there.

No reason why one couldn't buy something locally and send it over as a "gift" to a good friend in the NZ is there? (or vice versa).

Good plan!

Cossie,

but why would you got to MRT for Link Products - go to Possum Bourne in NZ - I mean they design the damn things! And use them in their rally cars!

Trout

PS I may, or may not have bought products from them directly in the recent past
