Is there anything on the market in this country that is legal to avoid speed detection?

The only option is common sense and a knowledge of the local area speed limits.

Nope. Just don't speed or don't get caught. Then when you do get caught don't start moaning about it like a few people on here have If you want to speed at least take it on the chin when you get caught.

All the speed detectors I have seen have reacted far too slowly and the device has you before you can react. Or most don't react at all! It's a rip off that the average person can never prove. Reacting to speed quickly can also be dangerous (you going to check your mirror when that alarm goes off before you slam your anchors on?) If so you have already been zapped. If no then you may have a car parked in your boot.

Any item that will jam the signal will either not work (most are gimmicks that don't really work) and if caught you will be charged with perverting the course of justice or obstruct police... and if it's hard wired to the car then your car could be seized too... How would you be caught? Simple, the devices that use laser or radar work. Simple as. If they for some reason won't get a reading on your car when it's clearly going quickly what do you think the cop is going to do? Come straight after you of course.

 

The Tomtom I use not only warns of fixed speed cameras it also warns of mobile locations too. The only problem I find is it is too easy to ignore the warning gong as most of the possible mobile locations are deserted, but not all of them!

Everytime i see one of them i take the **** going past so slow i could get done for kerb crawling but the only sendible answer is keep to the speed limits keep racing for the tracks/circuits

I have to admit i have been done for speeding a number of times many years ago but amazingly never in my scoob just dont feel the need to race every where any more i put it down to the calming nature of that lovely subaru rumble

A jammer should be installed with an on/off switch within easy reach of the driver. When the buzzer sounds to indicate it's detected a signal that it's jamming, slow down to legal speed and turn the jammer off. It will detect the signal 400M away, turn unit off and the copper can then get a reading when you get closer

Ive used a button operated jammer for many years. Its save me a few times, and they have never 'come' after me when they realised the kit was being jammed.

I chatted to a policeman friend of mine, and although not a traffic cop, he says its mentioned many times in their nick that the handheld guns they use constantly ***** up readings, so they just put it down to bad kit.

I rarely speed, but we all do it sometimes, but I imagine one day some new freshed faced needs to prove himself traffic cop will come after me to catch me with my garage door opener.

I have a Snopper sat-nav and I like it.
